About W.E.S.
Where Everyone Succeeds
Laura, Founder
Meet Laura, Founder of W.E.S.
Building a supportive environment shouldn't feel like an uphill battle. Grounded in 20+ years of direct experience as a behavior specialist across residential, community, school, and hospital settings—paired with her own personal journey raising neurodiverse children—Laura founded W.E.S. Behavior Support and Training LLC to fill a critical gap.
Structured interventions often happen within school walls, and clinical supports take place in medical settings. But in the interim, everyday life happens at home, where parents are frequently left feeling lost, overwhelmed, and unsure how to maintain consistency across the board.
Laura helps families create consistency with educators and community teams to build practical, dignity-first supports. Her work centers on neurodiversity-affirming strategies, sensory accommodations, executive functioning, and proactive de-escalation skills that empower individuals to thrive in every setting.
Our Approach
Behavior Is Communication
Whether avoidance or outbursts, all behaviors inform us about needs, concerns, and drives. We work fully with the individual and their supports to ensure their core needs are identified and addressed proactively—creating safe pathways for self-advocacy, connection, and long-term regulation.
Decoding & Translating
Many times in our support journeys we are given rigorous write-ups, long team meetings, and recommendations, all for isolated environments. We are here to help bridge these pieces and work on cohesion and understanding for families and supports.
Individualized Support
Every individual is unique. W.E.S. is committed to tailoring strategies around a person's specific strengths, interests, and needs.
